My story

Meet Adeline, aka "Addie, a petite and playful pup who will melt your heart with her warm personality and expressive ears. This sweet little lady is still learning to navigate the world and discover new things. With positive reinforcement, she's truly blossoming! Addie is a good girl, house trained and crate trained. If you are someone who values a restful evening, she's your girl. She enjoys burying herself in a fluffy blanket and will sleep in her cozy covered crate all night. She even appreciates extra beauty sleep in the mornings. Adeline enjoys having her own bed amongst the human furniture and will happily play with her toys and roll around there, instead of on your couch cushions. Sitting nicely at the door is Adeline's que for you to open it. She's in the habit of grabbing her leash to lead her human to her favorite potty spots. Chasing bugs, birds, and butterflies gives her so much joy, and she has found using her mouth for further exploration of things like leaves and sticks most satisfying. Being left alone is challenging for this affectionate girl. She's a big baby at heart, but with love, care, and consistency, she's learning to feel safe and secure. She'd likely do best with someone who works from home and understands her need for reassurance and can help her build confidence. Adeline loves to play fetch and is learning to respond to cues like "spot", "bring it", "leave it", and "wait." She's a quick learner and enjoys pleasing her humans. She is good company in the kitchen too, especially when she gets an ice cube. She understands "sit", "down", and "shake". She has also proven to be a polite and quiet companion in the vehicle, comfortable in her seat belt harness observing the world through each window. Despite some initial timidness in new situations, Adeline is growing more confident every day. She's a happy-go-lucky pup who enjoys her toys, snuggles, and that clean feeling after bath time. She's still cautious around new people and animals but has a newfound curiosity instead of running away in fear. She's warmed up quickly to guests with a proper introduction and just needs guidence and a good cheerleader. If you're looking for a loving companion, who follows you around the house, "Addie" might just be the perfect fit! Adeline will be completing her vet care (spay, vaccines, microchip, and recent bloodwork) soon and can't wait to meet you! Her adoption fee is $300. If you're interested in adopting, please submit an application at savedbyfate.org and we'll be in touch ASAP. A meet with any approved applicant's current pets and entire family will be required prior to starting the 2-week adoption trial period. Please visit our website savedbyfate.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Adeline, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
