My story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $700 Meet Cream Cheese, a 12 week old Yorkie mix!   Born on June 4th to Mama Everything Bagel, Cream Cheese has been raised in a loving foster home since day one. He’s the last of his litter still waiting for a forever home, and while we can’t quite figure out why, we know his future family will be very lucky to have him.   As the biggest pup in his litter, Cream Cheese naturally stepped into the role of “big brother.” He was often found checking on his siblings during nap time, giving them gentle kisses and letting them climb all over him without complaint. That nurturing streak has carried into his own personality today— he’s a sweet, easygoing pup who loves being close to people.   Now in his foster home, Cream Cheese’s personality is shining. He’s cuddly, loves being held, and is absolutely obsessed with squeaky toys. At night, he happily snoozes in his crate from about 9:30 pm to 7 am, and he’s doing wonderfully with potty training— using pads consistently and keeping his crate clean. He’s also comfortable being left alone for a few hours at a time and can entertain himself until he’s ready to bark for company.   Cream Cheese enjoys walks (he rides in a backpack since he's not fully vaccinated yet) and is making great progress on the leash (practicing in the yard), showing curiosity about every new smell and sound. He’s playful and goofy, with plenty of puppy zoomies to keep you laughing, and he’s just as happy curling up for a nap—especially if it’s in the car!   This little guy would thrive as a second dog, since he loves to wrestle, chase, and play, but he’s just as wonderful on his own. He’s good with kids, affectionate, and ready to bring joy into any home.   Cream Cheese may be the last of his litter still waiting, but he’s truly something special. Could he be the one for you?September 1, 2025, 2:08 pm
