My story

-ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 45/50lbs -ESTIMATED AGE: 3 months as of 8/27) -KNOWN WITH DOGS: See below-- BUT hanging out with other dogs is just the most RAD thing ever! I Love having dog friends to play with. -KNOWN WITH CATS: Sargent is curious but respectful. At first, he barely noticed the cats, but now he’s showing playful interest. The cats aren’t exactly fans of his enthusiasm, but he doesn’t stalk or fixate on them. If he stares too long, a quick redirection does the trick — and when he engages with something else, it’s another reason to throw a party! -KNOWN WITH KIDS: I have enjoyed meeting all the people around. Everyone has been so much fun to play with, pet, hug and snuggle! There really is no person I don't like! -KNOWN CUES: AMAZING! For a 4-month-old, Sargent is a rockstar on the leash. He trots happily by your side, walks on a loose leash, sniffs around, wags at passersby, and takes care of business like a pro. He checks in for treats, knows “touch” and “look,” and if he gets a little too excited seeing another dog, a quick cue brings him right back. There’s zero aggression — he just wants to say, “Play with me!” -KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: We’re working on it! Sargent hasn’t had much consistency due to several short-term fosters, but he’s settling into a good routine now. He hasn’t quite figured out how to signal when he needs to go, but with regular potty breaks (we set a timer), he’s doing great — and we make every success a celebration! We’re making great progress with Crate Training! The best news? Sargent settles into his crate around 11:00 p.m. and sleeps soundly through the night without a peep until about 5:30 a.m. We’re also practicing leaving him for short periods during the day. The longest so far is 2 hours. He may whine a bit at first, but he quickly settles — meaning you can run errands while he’s comfy in his crate! -KNOWN LIKES: Running, Playing with dogs of all sizes, Belly rubs and snuggles, BALL. BALL. BALL. (Did we mention BALL?) -KNOWN DISLIKES: Not playing ball. 🐶❤️ Meet Sargent! 🐾 Sargent is the absolute sweetest, happiest little guy you’ll ever meet — and everyone who meets him on the street agrees! This 4-month-old bundle of love is full of personality and charm. He’s outgoing, super friendly, loves other dogs, and wants to be part of every bit of fun — especially when kids are playing nearby. Nothing seems to scare this brave pup, and his joyful, tail-wagging energy is contagious! Sargent is also incredibly smart and eager to learn. He loves being with his people and just wants to be loved in return. Sargent is the total package — sweet, smart, playful, and full of love. He’s ready to find his forever family who will keep the adventures going, throw plenty of ball parties, and give him the affection he craves.
