My story

Adorable sweet Poppy is a tiny Maltese girl who wants nothing more than to be close to her humans. She follows foster mom around and is her little shadow. Poppy is curious about the world, learning new things and sights and smells each day. Most of the time though she just wants to chill at home with you on the couch. Poppy walks well on leash, and if given a chance, will lay down in the grass to watch the world around her. She sleeps through the night in her crate even though she'd probably prefer to sleep with her humans. She is cautious with new people, once she warms up to you and trusts she will follow you around and gently place her head in your lap for pets. She loves also to be carried in your arms like a baby. She still gets spooked by unfamiliar sounds or movement sometimes, but she is fine as long as her human is there. She is doing well with her potty training if she's walked on time or has access to a yard. Poppy doesn't care much for toys at the moment and would prefer human interaction. She may do well with another small dog in the home. She is just a wonderful gentle girl who is a bit shy at first. Poppy is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $450. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
