My story

My foster writes:Tangerine is such a sweet, lovely boy. He loves being around people and will come over to you very often to ask for pets/butt pats. He also loves being picked up. Tangerine is a very active cat, he loves to play. He's also very easily entertained. He loves his wand toys - maybe a bit too much, Tangerine often needs to forced to take breaks while playing (he gets so excited that he starts panting).Tangerine is a vocal little guy, and likes to make sure that you know that he's nearby. He will start meowing once you go to the kitchen (usually he's not even asking for food, he just wants your attention).If you're looking for an affectionate, talkative companion whose purr motor is always running, Tangerine is your guy!What my friends at ACC say about me:I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some feline body language together!I'll need daily interaction with you as I get used to my new life.A volunteer writes: Tangerine walked into a church to ask for some help and learned help doesn't always look how you think it will. He was brought to us and settling into shelter life has proven to be a bit elusive but he's doing the best he knows how. Tangerine's approach may not be particularly social, but that's not who he is at the moment and that's ok. He will allow us to pet him though tries to create space when and where he can. Knowing Tangerine is also knowing that our best looks different each day. We also know how hard he's tried to make a place for himself and that there's a forever home out there who will give the soft place to land that he's been searching for.
