My story

Hi! I’m Danny. I’m about 2.5 years old (born around March 2023, they think), and I weigh 23kg – strong, sturdy, and full of life. People say I have the best of both worlds: the proud, clean look of a Jindo and the soft charm of a Samoyed. I'm kind of hard to forget once you see me! My life didn’t start out easy – I was once on the euthanasia list at a shelter. But I got lucky. I was rescued, and now I’m waiting for a second chance… maybe with you? I really love people. I open up quickly, even to strangers, though I still carry that Jindo instinct of observing before rushing in. If you give me a little space at first, I’ll be your best friend in no time. Once I trust you, I’ll come close asking for hugs and cuddles – and I’m not shy about showing affection! I get along great with other dogs and really enjoy playing and socializing. I’ve got a lot of energy, so I’d love to go on walks, explore outside, and play with you. But don’t worry – indoors, I know how to be calm and relaxed. I’m not a barker, and I respect quiet time. I’m potty trained (both indoors and outside), crate trained, and I’m super good in the car. I’ve also learned all my basic commands – I’m pretty smart if I do say so myself! I used to guard big bones when I was younger, but thanks to training, that’s in the past. I have no issues with food or resources now. One of the funniest things about me? Even though I’m a big boy, I still think I’m a little lap dog. I’ll sometimes squeeze into your arms like I’m tiny – it’s part of my charm! I do get a little overexcited when showing love, but with consistent guidance and love, I know I can be the perfect companion. I’m a happy mix of playfulness and calm, and I love bonding with people more than anything. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and fun best friend, I think we could be a perfect match. Are you the one I’ve been waiting for? With love, Danny

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Danny, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
