My story

Meet Pita! Pita is a precious 6-year-old toy poodle with the softest cream-colored curls kissed with hints of apricot on his ears and legs. Weighing just 8 lbs, this little lovebug is the perfect size for snuggles—and snuggling is his favorite thing in the world. Before being rescued, Pita spent his life as a breeding dog in Arkansas. Now he's discovering the joys of being a cherished pet, and he’s learning quickly! He’s already mastered going up and down stairs, walks beautifully on a leash, and is doing great with potty training. He’s also becoming a pro at being a “regular dog”—with a gentle, curious spirit that loves to explore the yard or curl up beside you while you read or work. Pita is wonderfully sweet, calm, and affectionate. He gets along well with other dogs, children, and new people. (We haven’t seen him with cats or toddlers yet.) He enjoys being near his humans, and is perfectly content lounging on a cozy dog bed or trotting happily by your side. Pita was recently neutered and had a dental procedure where all of his teeth were removed, but don’t worry—he eats soft food and softened kibble like a champ! He’s a gentle soul who’s ready to bring love, joy, and cuddles to a lucky forever family. Could that be you? Pita is patiently waiting for his happily ever after. Come meet him—you’ll fall in love!
