My story

(DOB 07/17/2025) Frazier Crane is heartworm positive, but please don’t let this prevent you from adopting him. He deserves a loving home like all of the other dogs, and the rescue will cover his treatment. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within 1 hour drive time of Wake Forest NC) until after his treatment is complete. Meet Frazier Crane, the refined and eloquent canine connoisseur of canine culture. With a sophisticated palate for gourmet treats and a penchant for intellectual debate, Frazier navigates the world with a keen sense of wit and a touch of canine charm. Whether he's analyzing the nuances of a well-barked melody or offering sage advice on the complexities of canine relationships, Frazier embodies the refined spirit of a true conversationalist. Always dressed in his favorite collar and sporting a well-groomed coat, he's the quintessential pooch of poise, wit, and canine compassion. He is crate trained. Keeps his living area clean. Confident leash walker but is working on refinement.    He is taking applications for an emotional support human.  If you meet the following criteria, please apply ASAP: An emotional support human (ESH) for a dog should possess a calm, friendly, and caring demeanor, along with the ability to form a strong, trusting bond with their canine companion. They should be intuitive to the dog's emotional needs and provide a stable, non-threatening presence. While anyone can serve as an emotional support human, certain qualities make for a more effective and comforting companion for a dog. Key Characteristics: **Friendly and Approachable: A good ESH is warm and approachable, creating a safe environment for the dog and encouraging social interactions that can benefit the dog's emotional well-being. **Attentive and Empathetic: An effective ESH is attentive to the dog's cues and emotions, offering comfort and reassurance when needed, and understanding their non-verbal signals. **Patient and Gentle: Patience and gentleness are essential, especially when the dog is anxious or upset, ensuring the dog feels safe and supported. **Balanced and Affectionate: While showing love and affection is important, maintaining boundaries prevents the dog from becoming overly dependent or stressed. **Adaptable and Flexible: Life can be unpredictable, so an ESH should be adaptable to changing circumstances and able to provide consistent support regardless of the environment or situation. **Emotionally Intelligent: An emotionally intelligent human can sense the dog's emotional state and respond appropriately, strengthening the bond and providing effective comfort. **Sociable and Gentle: Being able to interact calmly and positively with others around the dog helps create a relaxed social environment for the canine. **Loving and Devoted: A strong, caring bond built on trust and affection is vital for supporting the dog's emotional health and well-being. **Support Role: Unlike trained service providers, an emotional support human does not perform specific tasks but instead offers companionship, understanding, and emotional stability to help alleviate the dog's stress, anxiety, or emotional challenges.  **Exceptional culinary skills are a definite plus! As part of Frazier’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Frazier, you can complete an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2475027##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Frazier Crane, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
