My story

In March 2025, upon hearing that a wildfire was spreading rapidly, WEACT rushed to Sancheong, Gyeongnam, in the early hours before dawn. With a car packed full of water, dog food, and rescue equipment, we set off without a moment to lose. From that day forward, the flames swept fiercely across five regions. Some dogs managed to flee the rising fire, scattering in every direction. But others, still bound by their collars, couldn't take a single step—trapped in the searing heat. Even those who escaped couldn’t withstand the unbearable temperatures and collapsed with burns. The #GyeongbukWildfireRescueDogs came within inches of death, barely clinging to life, but left with deep physical and emotional scars. It was there that we met #weact_simba.
