Macy!

My story

Macy is a sweet Chihuahua/poodle/Australian Cattle dog mix puppy. She was born around January 2025 and is currently 17 lbs. Macy is affectionate, playful, smart, and medium to high energy. She is not a couch potato dog and is still very much a puppy. Macy likes playing with her toys, chewing on bully sticks and other chewy bones and romping around in the yard. She becomes bonded to her family and will happily follow her humans around the house and yard most of the day. She enjoys the company of other dogs and loves to play chase with them. She does not seem to enjoy wrestling or overly rough play especially with larger dogs. In her foster home she does well with male dogs and smaller female dogs who aren’t dominant. Macy likes to be on the couch with her people at the end of the day. She is given something appropriate to chew on when it’s time to unwind otherwise she will likely find something inappropriate to chew on. Macy currently lives with dogs of various sizes and does well with them but is selective in who she will play with. She also lives with dog savvy cats but will challenge shy kitties and chase if they run. Young children might overwhelm her so only dog savvy, respectful children over 10 are recommended. She is an alert barker and enjoys a yard so no apartments for her. Macy is crate trained but does not love her crate. She is doing well with house training and learning to walk politely on a leash. Continued training is recommended as she is still a puppy and we would like her to be the best dog she can be. Macy would likely do well in an active home where she can be included in daily activities. She becomes bonded to her people and desires to be a large part of her family’s life. She might enjoy a friendly, young dog companion to pal around with and keep her company while her humans are away from home. She likely would not do well being left home alone daily for long hours. Someone who has the time, patience and willingness to work with and continue training a puppy would be ideal. Macy is a sweet, affectionate little dog who is patiently waiting for her forever home.
