My story

INTRO This little guy is smooth coated, dense & the protector of the group! He is the first to alert the others about any and all perceived threats. He loves to play tug-o-war with his buddies & zooms around the room like he’s running late for a very important meeting. HISTORY Snowball comes from an accidental litter of 4, he is one of three males in the bunch. They were surrendered to us around 6 weeks of age, and he has been fostered with his littermates. His DOB is 06/08/2025. Snowball is located in West Richland, in Eastern Washington. We share information about our dogs in postings based in other cities to improve their chances of finding a great forever home. He is well worth a road trip, and we encourage you to come and meet him before you decide he should join your family! But, if necessary, HART will transport a puppy to an approved adopter in the Pacific Northwest. SOCIALIZATION, TEMPERAMENT AND TRAINING Snowball currently shares his home with large and small dogs. He is very friendly with everyone he meets and loves to play. He loves kids as much as he loves play time with his littermates. Though he is extremely friendly, he is still a puppy with sharp teeth, nails, and desire to chew on everything he can. Snowball is young enough to learn to live well with another friendly, tolerant older dog, a confident, dog-savvy cat, and whatever other pets may already be part of your family. Snowball loves to play with their dogs and/or toys all the same. When he isn’t playing with his littermates, or attacking a toy bigger than him, he loves to snuggle up and be in your lap. Snowball has endless kisses to offer in exchange for a belly rub, but he will give them for free too! Snowball is just a baby, he is young and eager to learn how to be a good family dog. He'd love you to take him to school so he can learn ALL the skills he needs to be his best self. This would be beneficial for you as his pet parent(s) as well so that you can learn to communicate effectively with him and teach him to be confident. He is still working on potty training. It's important to remember: Snowball is a puppy, and PUPPIES ARE HARD WORK! This little boy is just getting started - he has sharp nails and needle teeth and loves to pounce on shoes and grab hold and tug on anything that moves! As far as he’s concerned, anything and everything is for play. He still has everything to learn about being a civilized member of a mainly human family. He will trip you up, piddle on your rug, and chew your stuff. Please don't apply to adopt Snowball unless you're sure you have the time, energy and desire to raise him right! HEALTH STATUS General info He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and dewormed. He appears to be in good health. Once full grown, he will likely be somewhere in the 8-10 lbs. range. HART does not support pediatric spay/neuter, so Snowball has not been sterilized. You will be required in terms of the adoption contract to have your pup sterilized by the time they are 6 months old. At your request, HART will refund you $100 upon receiving proof of sterilization at your expense. ADOPTION The adoption fee for Snowball is $425. For more pictures of Snowball, see him Facebook album at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=HearthfireAnimalRescueTeam&set=a.1058473579767064 To apply to adopt Snowball, please complete our online adoption application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAWA-A-30 , or email HearthfireART@gmail.com and request an adoption application form. HART dogs live in foster homes, not in a kennel facility. To respect our fosters' privacy, we make our dogs available to meet adopters only after an adoption has been approved.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Snowball, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
