My story

Pretty Bud, affectionately known as Fraiser in his foster home, is a 4-year-old sweetheart with a lovable mix of charm, silliness, and affection. This handsome boy came to BARCS through animal control and has quickly shown just how wonderful a companion he can be. His favorite place is right by your side—whether he’s joining you for a walk, relaxing nearby, or curling up for a good cuddle. He’s a gentle, steady walker on leash, happily keeping pace without pulling, and he’s fully house trained, making him an easy addition to just about any household. With an energy level around a six, Pretty Bud enjoys bursts of light play, especially with his beloved squeaky toys, but he’s equally content lounging close to his person.Pretty Bud has a warm, funny personality and loves to make his humans smile. He’s fantastic with children ages 8 to 18, greeting them with the same gentle affection he gives everyone he meets. He has also met dog friends at BARCS—he can be a bit shy at first but quickly warms up for a friendly game of chase. While we’re not sure how he does with cats or other small animals, his foster reports that he thrives in a home where someone can spend plenty of time with him. Pretty Bud is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly, and he’s ready to share his big heart with his forever family.He’s currently soaking up the love and comfort of his foster home, and he’d love to meet you.
