My story

Astrea is a 5-month-old hound/lab mix who weighs about 25 lbs. She’s already showing just how smart and loving she is, and she’s ready to find her forever home. Astrea is potty trained and uses bells tied to the door to let you know when it’s time to go out—how clever is that? She’s mostly crate trained (a treat for encouragement never hurts!) and sleeps peacefully through the night. She already knows the “sit” command, and she’s working on “stay”—she’s great at it indoors but still learning that outside is just as important. Astrea has a playful, social side too—she loves the company of other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine buddy to romp around with. She’s been wonderful with her foster’s 12-year-old granddaughter. As for younger children, we haven’t had the chance to test yet. This girl is a bundle of energy, joy, and affection, ready to bring fun and love into your life. The adoption fee of $450 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
