My story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $750 Silly Putty | 6 Months Old | Yorkie Mix | 6.6 lbs   If you’re looking for a pocket-sized best friend with a huge heart and boundless enthusiasm, meet Silly Putty! Rescued from the shelter, this sweet, spunky boy has been thriving in foster care and is ready to charm his forever family.   Silly Putty starts his mornings with a calm crate snooze until 8 a.m., when he happily heads out for a walk. Back inside, he greets the resident cat with a hopeful play bow (sometimes she joins in, sometimes she issues a polite “no, thanks”). After breakfast, he’s off to conquer his day — rotating between zoomies/toy sessions, short naps, and more play.   True to his Yorkie mix roots, Silly Putty is curious, clever, and social. He’s a total velcro dog who likes to be in the same room as his people and absolutely adores other dogs. In fact, he would thrive in a home with a playful canine buddy. He also does well with dog-savvy cats who don’t mind the occasional game of chase. He’s met kids of all ages, soaking up the attention and happily being passed from one set of arms to another.   Silly Putty is still a puppy in every way — full of “crazy puppy energy,” a bit mouthy when excited, and working on his potty training (progress is happening every day!). He walks nicely on leash, is learning good manners, and will need a family ready to keep up with his training, redirect his chew-and-chomp tendencies, and give him plenty of exercise and playtime.   This little guy has a joy for life that’s contagious. Whether he’s camping with his foster family, making new furry friends despite the occasional grumpy encounter, or curling up for evening snuggles, Silly Putty’s sweet wag and bright spirit are guaranteed to make you smile.   If your home could use a dash of puppy charm and a constant companion by your side, Silly Putty is ready to be your tiny shadow.  August 12, 2025, 12:35 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Silly Putty, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
