My story

Meet Our Brave Survivor: Sunny! We are excited to introduce Sunny, a resilient and playful 4-month-old German Shepherd who has shown incredible strength and spirit. The name Sunny was given to her at the shelter, so she may end up with a new name from her foster family since she is not yet familiar with it. Sunny successfully battled parvo while at the shelter, demonstrating her strong will to thrive even in the face of adversity. Tragically, her littermate did not survive, but Sunny is ready to embrace her new lease on life! Currently, Sunny is enjoying her time in a temporary foster home with three friendly resident shepherds, and she has been nothing short of respectful and sweet with them. This lovable girl adores people and is eager for all the snuggles and affection she can get. With her gentle nature, Sunny is sure to fill your heart with joy. One of her adorable quirks is her mealtime ritual—she savors her kibble one morsel at a time, taking her time to enjoy each bite. It’s clear she’s going to grow into a big dog, especially with those large paws of hers! Sunny loves toys, especially small balls, and she enjoys napping close to her people. Later this week, Sunny will be catching a ride to her next foster home, and we can’t wait to see all the new adventures she will embark on. Our hope is to find the perfect forever home for our survivor girl—a place where she will be treasured, loved, and given all the cuddles she deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a heart of gold, keep an eye on Sunny! As a foster-based rescue, ShepHeroes is always looking for more fosters. Many shepherds in our local shelters require assistance for a fresh start. Would you consider opening your home and sharing a part of your life to help these dogs find new families? You provide the love, and we will take care of everything else! Saying "yes" today truly saves a life. Please complete this https://www.shepheroes.org/foster-form, and we will be in touch as soon as possible. We appreciate your consideration. Sunny will thrive in an experienced forever home that is committed to providing her with ongoing environmental exposure, training, and structure, which shepherd puppies need to grow into well-adjusted adult dogs. Have you checked out our YouTube channel? We would greatly appreciate your support by subscribing, liking, and commenting on the videos we share of our adoptable shepherds in action. You can also follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and our new Threads account for plenty of news and updates about our shepherds. We are also in the final stretch of our nomination for Sacramento's Animal Nonprofit Favorites this year! We need your help by voting every day for our cherished shepherds. Please vote daily from each device until August 15th at votesacramento.com. Look for us in the Service Category under Animal Nonprofits. Thank you for being our heroes! ##2489033##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sunny (Temporary Name), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
