My story

Current Location: White Hall, MD Meet Toffee! If joy could wag its tail, it would look exactly like Toffee. This young, playful pup is the ultimate mix of happy energy, curiosity, cuddles, and affection. Her whole body wiggles with delight, and her tail never seems to stop because life is just that exciting when you’re Toffee! Personality and Energy Toffee is smart, social, and endlessly friendly. She loves being part of whatever her people are doing. If life is happening, she wants to be in the mix. Whether it’s playing in the yard, greeting new friends (two- or four-legged), or curling up for some lap time after a busy day, she’s happiest when she’s with her family. She’s affectionate, loyal, and always ready to make you laugh with her wiggly enthusiasm. Though this sweet girl loves her playtime, she settles nicely afterwards, and she even naps for periods of time throughout the day. She has a great balanced energy and she is the most happy when she's by your side. Training and Behavior - Crate trained (sleeps quietly through the night) - Responds very well to redirection and is quick to learn - Food and praise motivated, making training fun and effective - Still in a “jumping up” phase, so older kids may be a better match while she learns her manners - Toffee is highly intelligent and needs regular mental stimulation along with physical activity. She’d excel at dog sports like agility or rally or simply in a home where she can play, explore, and continue learning every day. Exercise Needs - This is not a couch potato pup. Toffee thrives on activity, enrichment, and interaction. She’ll need: - A fenced yard (non-negotiable) where she can run safely - Daily walks, playtime, or other active outlets - A family who enjoys an engaged, interactive dog and wants to include her in daily life Social Life Toffee loves dogs, cats, and new people. She’d be thrilled to have a dog sibling to romp with, though her first priority will always be her humans. She’s affectionate and loyal, always sticking close by to keep an eye on what her family is up to. Best Home Fit Toffee is looking for a family who: - Has a physical fence and space for her to play - Wants a dog who is social, smart, and involved in daily activities - Can provide regular exercise, training, and interaction - Appreciates a loyal sidekick who will always be by their side Special Traits - Constant happy wiggle (she practically dances with - joy) - Gorgeous coat and expressive face - Playful, curious, affectionate, and eager to learn - A fantastic candidate for agility or other active adventures

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Toffee, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
