MAE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Mae and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (08/17) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church, VA (6100 - A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!   Name:   Mae         Best Guess for Breed:   Lab Mix Best Guess for Age:   7 months as of 8/11/25          SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight:   26lbs as of 8/11/25 -  Mae is still growing!   Gets Along With:   Other dogs! Mae has interacted with children but hasn't lived with them; it takes a bit of time for her to warm up to them. We haven't seen Mae with cats but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Shelter. Mae needs a foster or forever home!   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico often have a significant transition moving from island life to the big city.  We have found that they tend to do better with another dog if living in an environment, where there is a lot of noise and activity – or with a family who can make sure they get regular interaction with other dogs for confidence and socialization.   Mae is Looking For:   From the beaches of Puerto Rico to the streets of DC, Jamie’s ready to trade sand for snuggles!
