My story

I’m Lavish, and I’ve been waiting my whole life for someone to call me theirs—but I’ve never let that dim my spirit. Rescued as a tiny puppy alongside my sister, I grew up in an overcrowded shelter, yet I’ve held onto my joy and my love for people. True to my name, I lavish affection on everyone I meet—tail wags, soft eyes, and leaning in close just to be near you. I get along beautifully with other dogs, walk like a dream on leash, and I’m as gentle with kids as I am with adults. I’ve never known life beyond the kennel walls, but I’m ready for a home where I can trade the concrete floor for a soft bed and the noise for the sound of my family’s laughter. I’ve waited five long years, and I’m hoping you’ll see me not as the dog who’s been overlooked, but as the one whose time has finally come.
