My story

Meet Watson: A Big Heart Looking for a Calm, Committed Home There’s no one quite like Watson. With his soulful eyes, love for routine, and passion for mental challenges (think training), Watson is a truly special dog who’s ready for his next chapter with the right person. Watson thrives in a calm, adult-only home where he can be your one and only. He bonds deeply with his humans and prefers a quiet, structured environment where he can relax and be himself without the stress of other pets or young children. What Watson Needs: A home with no other pets or children . Watson does best as the solo star of the household.   Access to a private, fenced-in yard is a big plus so he can safely explore, sniff, and relax in his own space without leash restriction.   Daily exercise and mental stimulation are key! He loves a consistent routine, enrichment games, and time outdoors.   We’ll share his training progress and techniques so you can pick up right where we left off and continue helping him succeed.   Watson still has 5 months of free veterinary care through his current clinic (excluding specialty services), so you’ll have support as he transitions into his new home.   Watson has shown that he needs a specific kind of environment to truly thrive. He's been in situations in the past which have helped us understand what his boundaries are and how to support him best. With the right structure, Watson does incredibly well. He’s been working hard with training, and his progress is something we’re really proud of. In the right home, Watson will be a loyal, quirky, and loving companion. He just needs someone who has experience with dogs/dog behavior and can offer him the dedicated time, structure, and space he needs to truly flourish. If you think you might be Watson’s person, or know someone who could be, please reach out. We’d love to tell you more about this handsome guy and help make his next chapter his best one yet.     Watson is a member of our Keep Them Home program August 12, 2025, 3:14 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Watson, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
