Name:   Phoebe          Best Guess for Breed:   Retriever/Lab Mix    Best Guess for Age:   7 months as of August 2025          SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:  29 lbs as of August 2025 - she is still growing!  Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Puerto Rico Shelter. Phoebe needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Phoebe would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.    Phoebe is Looking For:    Her forever family! She’s got all that awesome young-dog energy and is eager to have her own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and exploring the world - she hasn't seen nearly enough of it. She’d love to make pup pals along the way, too. Quality kibble, cushy dog beds, peanut butter-filled Kongs - yes, please. But you know what she wants most of all? To know where she belongs, to know she’s safe and loved for all her days. What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once she has spent some time in foster care. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
