Name: Doug       Best Guess for Breed:  Black mouth cur miz   Best Guess for Age:   2 years as of August 2025         SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:  30 lbs   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations:  You may notice Doug has some spots of thin hair – have no fear! He is being treated for demodex which is a non-contagious form of mange triggered by a weak immune system. Doug will have a shiny coat in no time!   Doug is Looking For:  His forever home! Through no fault of his own, this sweetie landed in the shelter. He's eager to have his humans for long sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures they can dream up! And he'd love to make pup and people pals along the way. Quality kibble, cushy dog bed, chew dog toys - yes, please, to all those.  But above all he wants to be safe and loved, to know where he belongs - and upon whom to bestow all those happy tail wags, to whom to pledge loyal companionship. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
