My story

I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me.INSIGHTS FROM MY ADVENTURE BUDDIES:`Gecko is very excitable and energetic! Excited about the car ride, walk, treats. Seat belt highly recommended in car. He does pull on the leash so will just need a little training. Very interested in passing strangers, dogs and bicyclists, but not aggressive. He’s friendly and handsome!``Gecko is an energetic pup who is up for anything! He was very friendly with me, my husband and 11-year old. He has a lot of energy and was not interested in lounging around, but was very happy to play with and chew on a tennis ball. We went for a run in the woods and he was an excellent running buddy. He kept pace (I’m a slow runner) and didn’t pull on the leash at all. Gecko was very friendly and happy the whole time we were together. He didn’t seem scared by anything and was not reactive when other dogs barked at him.``I absolutely LOVED Gecko. So full of love. Energetic and a great walking buddy for workouts. Went on a 4-mile walk together and then cuddled for 2 hours. The perfect mix of everything for my active (but also nap time prioritizing) lifestyle. I love his mix of energy and ability to cuddle and chill out. So sweet.``Gecko was the sweetest boy! He gave us nothing but kisses and wanted only to run around with us. He was very friendly and an all around good dog, all he needs is regular exercise so he can get his zoomies out. He`s a little anxious in the car but other than that he is a perfect fella who would be an amazing addition to any house. Went for a walk in Johnston Mill Preserve! He did very well (pulled a little bit it was just because he was eager to get out) and was a kind gentleman to all passerbys. Favorite thing: THE KISSES. Gecko was a lovey dovey boy and he constantly looked back on our walk to make sure the whole pack was still with us. Can tell he would be a great family dog.`
