My story

Oh hey there, I’m Luna Hippo – and yes, the name fits! I’m a sturdy 82-pound snuggle bug with the heart of a marshmallow. At 7 or 8 years young, I’ve perfected the fine art of being a couch potato. I love a good walk in the fresh air, but after that? I’m all about curling up beside you for a long, cozy nap. Life has taught me a lot, and one of my best lessons is that friends come in all shapes and sizes. I’m great with other dogs, cats, and kids – in fact, I used to live with kids, and I even passed the “volunteer kid test” at the shelter with flying colors. I was a favorite among the staff and volunteers there, and I’m hoping to be a favorite in your home too. I’m spayed, up to date on all my shots, heartworm negative, and ready to bring a whole lot of love into your life. I’m house trained, easygoing, and happiest when I’m part of the family. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will adore you forever, well… I think you’ve just found your girl. Come meet me – I’ll be the one with the big smile and the bigger heart.
