My story

Meet Penny, a three-year-old King Cavalier who’s cute as a button—and overflowing with sweetness! At just 20 lbs, Penny packs a big heart into a petite frame. Her superpowers include being wonderfully cuddly, irresistibly well-behaved, and always ready to charm everyone around her. Penny is crate trained, sleeps soundly through the night without accidents, and is 95% potty trained—she willingly goes outside and knows just how to do her business. This gentle girl absolutely loves spending time outdoors, trotting after you, and running and playing with her furry friends. Penny is the perfect companion, happiest curled up next to you or exploring the yard together. She adores treats and aims to please, responding to gentle encouragement with her sweet disposition. While Penny hasn’t been on walks yet and isn’t fond of collars or harnesses, she’s adaptable and with time and comfort, she’ll be ready for any adventure. Penny is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area and is looking for her forever home—ready to share her love, cuddles, and companionship! Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week.
