My story

Aster – Brave Momma & Survivor Meet Aster, a stunning brown-and-black tabby with the heart of a warrior and the gentleness of a devoted mother. Her journey began on a cold, dreary March day when she was found wandering the streets—pregnant, very sick, and in desperate need of help. An animal control officer brought her to the shelter, and just two days later, she gave birth to five precious kittens on March 7, 2025. Life dealt her a heartbreaking blow when only three of her babies survived, but Aster never gave up. With unwavering love and the tireless care of her foster family, she nursed her surviving kittens—Aspen, Ase, and Astro—through their fragile early days. For two full weeks, she poured every ounce of her strength into keeping them safe and loved, even while recovering from her own illness. Now healthy, strong, and ready for her next chapter, Aster is a calm, affectionate girl who loves gentle pets, cozy naps, and quiet companionship. Her resilience is inspiring, and her sweet nature will melt your heart. After giving so much to her little family, it’s finally Aster’s turn to be cherished. All our adoptable cats are located at the Frisky Cat Cafe in St Augustine. 1092 Ponce De Leon Blvd (US 1). Visiting the cafe is a great way to find your perfect kitty. All of our cats and kittens are socialized and happy to interact with visitors, so you will meet them with their true personalities.
