My story

Meet Everhart – The Gentle Tuxedo Sweetheart Hi there! I’m Everhart, a handsome short-haired tuxedo boy born on June 22, 2022. My early days were tough—I was found wandering a busy parking lot with my brothers, hungry and alone, without our mama who sadly didn’t survive. Luckily, a kind rescuer spotted us just in time and brought us to Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue, where we received the love and care we needed to heal and grow strong. I’m the same gentle, affectionate boy you’d hope to meet—social, well-mannered, and full of love. I enjoy cozy naps, playful moments with other cats, and curling up in warm laps when it’s time to relax. I was lucky to find a loving home where I spent several wonderful years as a cherished companion. Recently, though, life took an unexpected turn when my human faced hardships and could no longer care for me. It was a heartbreaking goodbye, but I’m back now at the rescue, hopeful for a fresh start. If you’re searching for a sweet, soulful companion who’s overcome challenges and still has so much love to give, I’d love to meet you. I’m ready to share my heart and be your devoted friend for life. We have dozens of cats and kittens available! All our adoptable cats are located at the Frisky Cat Cafe in St Augustine. 1092 Ponce De Leon Blvd (US 1). Visiting the cafe is a great way to find your perfect kitty. All of our cats and kittens are socialized and happy to interact with visitors, so you will meet them with their true personalities.
