My story

Meet Eva! Eva is just beginning to learn about all the great things about being in a home. Eva is curious and charming and loves to be where people are, but she is easily overwhelmed by fast movement or lots of activity and will pancake or run under furniture until things are calm again. Eva loves a good belly rub and gives the sweetest little kisses. If you move, she’s on the move, too, and will follow you around the house. Once you sit down, she wants to be right where you are and she’ll ooze up for a snuggle. Eva doesn’t love her leash (yet) but she tries hard to be brave. Little pieces of cheese are her favorite reward. Eva has tried to engage the resident dog in her foster home, but if he doesn’t want to play, she is happy to grab a toy and flop into her bed to entertain herself. Eva is just starting to learn about housetraining and will potty outside, but she doesn’t yet signal that she wants to go out, so she needs to be kept on a schedule and watched closely. Her perfect home might have a calm older dog to help Eva gain confidence and maybe a fenced yard since she isn’t super comfortable on a leash. We don’t know how she is with cats or children yet. Her new family should be patient, calm, and willing to give her a little grace and space to settle in. Eva is estimated to be 4 months old and 18 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.
