My story

Name: Yuri Age: 5 months Gender: Female (spayed) Breed: Jindo mix Color: Beige Weight: 12 kg (26 lbs) Height: 43 cm (17 in) at the shoulder Rescue Story: Yuri was found with her two siblings abandoned in a moving box left in a grassy lot near an apartment construction site. For a week, the three survived by eating insects and worms until they were finally rescued. Personality – People: Yuri can be slightly shy at first, but she quickly warms up if offered a treat, and then she’s comfortable being petted. She’s wonderful with children under 13, and she allows people to pick her up with their arms under her belly. Once she feels safe, she even rolls over to show her belly. Personality – Dogs: Yuri is very social with other dogs—whether large, medium, or small. She greets both familiar and unfamiliar dogs warmly and often invites them to play. Even when meeting dogs with high energy or grumpier temperaments, she responds by showing her belly rather than reacting defensively. She feels more secure and confident when another dog is around. Cats: Her reaction to cats has not yet been tested, but this can be arranged. Energy Level: Moderate—she enjoys outdoor activities but settles calmly afterward. ‍‍Walking Manners: She walks well on a leash and follows her handler’s lead. She tends to stop often to sniff around rather than walking continuously. Other Notes: Yuri does not guard food from people or other dogs, rarely barks, and stays calm when kenneled. She is nervous about car rides and prefers to be held when getting in; she is prone to motion sickness. She is house-trained for both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty breaks.
