My story

Meet Hwanhee Jindo Mix | Male | 3–4 months | 7.6kg Not neutered yet | Brindle coat Sweet, silly, and full of puppy charm — Hwanhee is a lovable Jindo mix puppy who was rescued with his three siblings near a junkyard in Gapyeong. From day one, he’s shown a natural friendliness toward both people and other dogs. His social, playful nature suggests that he’ll grow up to be an affectionate and confident companion. Personality & Social Skills Hwanhee adores everyone he meets — men, women, and even children under 13. He may appear slightly shy at first, but offer him a treat, and you’ll have a new best friend in no time. He’ll even roll over to show you his belly, even if it’s your first time meeting! He loves to cuddle and is happy to be picked up and held in your arms. With dogs, he’s equally social and friendly — always ready to greet and play, even with unfamiliar dogs. He currently lives with a 3-year-old female Jindo mix who was initially hesitant, but thanks to Hwanhee’s sweet and respectful nature, they’re now best friends who play, nap, and snuggle together. Training & Intelligence Hwangee is a quick learner! He has already picked up basic commands like “sit” and “shake” through mimicking his foster sister. He’s highly food-motivated and eager to please — perfect for ongoing training. ‍ Energy & Exercise As a young pup with lots of energy, Hwanhee loves tug and ball games and needs daily outdoor time to burn off steam. He tends to pull on the leash, especially when following interesting smells, so continued leash training is recommended. He does not resource guard and rarely barks, though he may whine or bark briefly when trying to express a need. Toileting Habits Hwanhee currently goes potty both indoors and outdoors, using pee pads inside. With two to three short walks per day (10–20 minutes each), he mostly reserves bathroom breaks for outside. Like many Jindo mixes, he may naturally shift to fully outdoor toileting as he matures. Other Notes He’s very curious and might try to pick up things off the ground during walks. Extra attention is needed during outings to keep him safe. In Summary Hwanhee is a bright, gentle, and affectionate puppy who thrives on companionship and play. With his loving personality, he’ll make a wonderful addition to any family — especially one that can offer him consistent guidance, plenty of playtime, and lots of love. Send in your application through our website! Please also check out his post on our Facebook or Instagram. Currently in Korea — adoptable to Canada & the U.S. ##2487826##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Hwanhee, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
