I’m Ppoyong, a sweet, loving pup with a gentle spirit and a growing heart full of curiosity. I was rescued from a city shelter just in time, and every day since then has been a gift filled with new things to see, smell, and love. Everyone tells me I have a calm Retriever-like soul, but I’m still young so I’ve also got that playful spark and just a bit of puppy clumsiness that makes people smile. I especially love people. I melt into cuddles, lean in for affection, and don’t mind being picked up and held close. Once we know each other, I’ll gladly roll over to show you my tummy and trust. Though I’m still getting used to all the new sights and sounds out in the world, I’m eager to keep learning. I may pause or crouch when I see something new on walks, but with a little encouragement, I always find my way forward. I’m already practicing and getting more confident each day.   My Social Life •With People: I’m a people-loving girl through and through friendly, snuggly, and happiest when I’m near someone kind.•With Other Dogs: I greet other dogs with a wag and a gentle nudge, no matter their size. I’m very respectful and prefer to walk away if things get too rowdy.•With Cats: I haven’t had the chance to meet any cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d feel, but I’m open to gentle introductions.   On My Walks I’m still learning the ropes when it comes to walks, but I enjoy being outside and am building up my confidence step by step. New environments can be a little overwhelming at first, but I’m doing well with practice and patience. I follow my human’s cues and feel safer when we take things at a relaxed pace.   Life at Home I’ve been told I’m very well-mannered indoors. I’m rarely bark, and I know how to use both indoor potty pads and go outside, too. I don’t guard my food and enjoy peaceful mealtimes with both humans and pups alike. Though I’m still young, I have a calm, affectionate presence that makes people feel at ease. My mom is Bbiyong, and while I have her loving Retriever nature, I’m said to be even a bit more mellow.   My Ideal Home I’d love a home with patient, kind-hearted people who see the beauty in a gentle pup who’s still blooming. I do best with those who can offer encouragement as I explore the world and in return, I’ll offer love, loyalty, and the warmest snuggles you can imagine. If you’re looking for a young Retriever mix with a tender heart and quiet strength, I just might be the one.
