My story

Ghosted--Rocco to his foster parents--is a 4-yr-old miniature schnauzer who was surrendered by a breeder.   He was a bit timid at first, especially after being neutered, but is rapidly getting beyond that and is an eager, curious pup who want to show his true schnauzer/terrier personality.  However, he's also finishing up medication for heartworm (has no symptoms and seems healthy) which requires that he stay fairly quiet for the next several weeks (to early-mid October).  Luckily, he's very mellow by nature and loves his  crate. He sleeps in it overnight--with no whining or barking or midnight walk needs--and needs no coaxing to enter.  He's getting used to walking on a leash and goes a bit farther each day.  He likes to spend time outdoors, exploring and sunbathing in a fenced yard.    Rocco would be good in a house with a friendly dog or dog-savvy cats (He's living with a dog and three cats now; he's curious about the cats but doesn't chase them).  On walks he's interested in other dogs and wants to greet them, no barking or aggression.  He's friendly to all people he meets.  He's crate trained and house trained, waiting patiently for his morning walk.   He is very low shed.  3 Keywords for your pup:  Sweet-tempered, curious, quietEnergy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 4. Calm now, eager to get more active.Barker? Or Quiet Pup?:  Very quiet Walking Manners: He's too small to pull much, but does like to set the pace. He's sniff oriented on walks and doesn't show much interest in rabbits or squirrels.Appetite: Eats well--2 meals a day and some treatsFavorite Things: Sunbathing, exploring inside and out, head scratches  ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States and Korea. ##2486619##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ghosted, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
