My story

Meet Sus (Susie)! Susie is the sweetest girl looking for her forever home! Susie is only a few months old, but is already learning the ropes of the city life. She is the most friendly and gentle foster we've ever had the pleasure of caring for. She arrived in New York City on Aug 6 from a shelter in Georgia, and in just a week she has come out of her shell and makes friends with everyone she meets! Personality & Characteristics: Susie is playful, but very docile. She is great with other dogs, babies, and other humans. She greets everyone with kisses, but has the best manners and never jumps up on anyone. She is also a little timid, and while she might make the first move, she lets other dogs take the lead if they want to play. She's extremely well behaved off the leash and always comes when called and never runs off. She actually puts herself to bed in her crate every night once she's tired. She's a pro napper and is quiet all day while I work from home. And she does great being left alone in the crate.  My foster dog is good with: Dogs, Kids, CatsMy foster dog is: Crate trained, House trained4 Keywords for your pup: Gentle, Friendly, Perfect, ChillEnergy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 4 - for being a puppy, her energy level is the most manageable we've ever seen! Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: She's very quiet. She cried the first couple nights in her crate, but she's barely made a peep since! She doesn't even bark when people knock on the door or when we arrive home. Walking Manners: She's pretty fast and is great on the leash! She accompanied us on a 15,000 step westside highway Saturday and slept while we sat at an outdoor restaurant. Appetite: Normal, not aggressiveFavorite Things: She loves dinnertime, saying hi to all the other dogs in our building, walks in the park, and chewing on a cardboard boxCommands/Tricks: She puts herself to bed in her crate at night ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States and Korea. ##2486604##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sus (Susie), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
