** If you are interested in adopting Darcy, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Darcy – Darcy is a 18 pound, 2-year-old Dachshund mix who was brought into a rural Texas shelter and surrendered by her owners. They had to move and couldn't bring her with. Understandably, she was confused at the shelter. She has now arrived to Colorado and is doing great warming up in her foster home. She is a very sweet girl, and great with other dogs. While she may be a bit shy at first, Darcy’s naturally friendly personality always shines through. She’s been through a lot of changes recently, so the world can feel a little overwhelming - but give her a moment, and she warms up with gentle curiosity and a wagging tail. Once she feels safe, she’s all about soft snuggles, sweet eye contact, and quietly soaking up the love. Darcy is up to date on her vaccinations and is spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
