My story

This pet is part of the rehoming program and is not in the care of the CCSPCA. Please read carefully and reach out to the owner directly via cell: 559-797-0959 or email: emrwyatt96@gmail.com. Owner states, “Astro is a 2 year old male border collie mix. Rescued him when I lived in South Lake Tahoe. He’s a very sweet boy and a huge cuddle bug. Loves to go for walks or veg out at home. He does seem to have a history of being abused and he is very scared of people, especially men. He also does seem to have some separation anxiety, but can be left at home when at work. I did crate train him and teach him basic commands in my short time with him. It used to just be my son, our cat, and I in the home. We have since moved back to Fresno to attend to family matters. He has not adjusted to our new living situation and needs someone to attend to him more than I can right now. When family tries to help me with him, he is very scared and shy with them. He does not bite, but will nip when he is handled by someone he is not comfortable with. Needs a loving home with a woman that is able to provide more time and attention than I am able to reasonably give right now. He is also really good with other dogs.” Due to the pets not being in our care, it is out of our control when and if the owner responds to your inquiry. Thank you.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Astro, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
