My story

Meet Louisiana – Sweet as Southern Sunshine Introducing Louisiana, a striking young lady with a glossy black coat and a fluffy white "bib" on her chest that looks like she's always dressed for a fancy dinner. Her light green eyes shimmer with warmth, wisdom and just a hint of sass — a true reflection of her namesake state’s vibrant charm. Louisiana came to us in April when she was surrendered for adoption. It wasn’t long before we discovered she was expecting. She moved into one of our loving foster homes, where she gracefully gave birth on May 9th to five beautiful kittens: Molly, Sassy, Shadow, Midnight, and Chance. Like a true southern mama, she was devoted, gentle and endlessly patient. Now that her babies are growing up and becoming independent, it’s Louisiana’s turn to be doted on. Just like the state she’s named after — known for its rich culture, soulful music and warm hospitality — Louisiana the cat is full of heart and irresistible charm. She’s friendly and enjoys a calm space where she can bask in a sunbeam or curl up near you while you sip your coffee. 👉 Louisiana is currently available by consultant just to give our adoption consultant a moment to review her medical file and clarify a note. This is simply part of our thorough process and shouldn’t be a concern for potential adopters. Adopt Louisiana and bring home a little Southern charm wrapped in fur and whiskers. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times.
