Allis

My story

Meet Allis (pronounced Alice), a zippy 8 year old who says age is just a number. She is still a very active dog and is still up for a jog or running around at a dog park, according to her former owners. They said Allis is a great dog, but she still has a lot of energy and they don`t have the ability to keep her engaged and exercised anymore. They hope that an active and available home will give her a more fulfilling life. Allis was found as a stray by her former owners 5 years ago, and she still has a bit of a wandering spirit. She has escaped the yard a few times. She didn`t get on the furniture, loves all kinds of toys, and is mostly housetrained. She will signal when she needs out. We don`t have information on how she does with cats, but she does like chasing small animals like squirrels. Allis is ready to start a new adventure in a loving home of her own.This big girl is 65 lbs and has done well in dog play groups. Her former owner says she plays well, but won`t tolerate another dog `bullying` her. She can go home with another dog if well matched. Like all our adult dogs, Allis will need to meet future canine companions before going home. Our shelter staff will lead their introductions in a safe environment to see if they are compatible. At the main campus, you can bring your dog along when you come for adoptions if you like. Allis is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for a loving forever home!
