My story

Meet Sonny! At just 4 months old and around 40 lbs, Sonny is a happy-go-lucky Lab mix who’s equal parts playful goofball and sweet snuggle buddy. This affectionate pup warms up to new people in no time and loves everyone—kids, adults, and other dogs alike. Sonny is an adventurous little city boy-in-training who’s quickly learning the ropes of Bronx life. Elevators, stairs, and loud noises don’t faze him—he’s brave, curious, and excited to explore! On walks, Sonny loves to stop and sniff all the good smells, and when the zoomies hit, he’s the life of the park. Inside, Sonny is just as delightful. He happily eats and naps in his crate, can self-entertain with a toy or bone, and is wonderfully affectionate with both people and pups. He’s doing great with leash walking, knows “sit,” “come,” "drop it" "paw" and “touch,” and is super treat-motivated—this smart boy is ready to learn anything you want to teach him. Sonny is fully housetrained, He travels well by car and even handled the train like a champ. He’s not a resource guarder and is learning healthy boundaries from his foster siblings—because sharing is hard when you’re a growing puppy!
