My story

Meet Maverick! 🐾 3-Year-Old | Male | Unaltered | Found in Somerset Maverick is a sweet, vocal boy who was found roaming around Somerset and brought to us as a stray. Since arriving, he’s quickly become a staff favorite thanks to his big personality and even bigger heart! This charming pup loves people and definitely enjoys being the center of attention. When Maverick wants some love, he lets you know — sometimes sounding like a seal (yes, really!), which always keeps us smiling. He’s got an impressive vocal range, too — from a high-pitched bark like a chihuahua to a deep, rumbling one like a pitbull! Maverick may be struggling with a bit of separation anxiety, so he'll need an adopter who is patient and willing to work with him as he learns that it's okay to be alone sometimes. He seems to do well with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion, but we do require a meet and greet with any potential dog siblings. As for cats, we’re not sure yet — but we’re happy to do a cat test upon request. If you're looking for a loving, goofy, and entertaining companion who will always keep life interesting, Maverick might just be your perfect match. Come meet him and let him steal your heart!
