My story

Hello. I'm Trooper. I was found on 8/02/25 on Bowie in Rockwall. I am a 3 year old pit/staffy mix neutered male who weight around 45-55 Lbs. Sadly my finders were not located so they brought me to the shelter in the hopes I would find my furever home. I am microchipped and RAC staff hoped my owner would come for me. Sadly, he never showed. I am eagerly hoping for my second chance at a new home that can provide me the love and affection I deserve! I am very toy motivated and enjoy playing fetch! I like treats and hugs and greet everyone with a big, ear to ear smile. If you have another pet in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, and basic boosters. I did test heartworm positive, BUT thanks to the amazing folks at Rockwall PAWS, my treatment will be covered at little to no cost to my new family. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
