My story

Hi there, I`m Dakota. A proud German Shepherd with a big heart, a curious mind, and a very particular way of warming up to the world. New places? Yeah, they take me a minute. I like to hang back, observe, sniff every corner twice (okay, maybe three times), and make sure things feel safe before I fully let my guard down. It’s not that I’m shy... I’m just thoughtful. Calculated. A bit cautious. But once I feel comfortable? Oh boy. That’s when the real me comes out. I’m talking full-body tail wags, wiggly zoomies across the yard, ears pinned back in pure joy while I rocket from one end to the other like I’m on a mission. You might catch me doing sudden spins or the classic “butt tuck and dash”! It’s my signature move. Let’s not even start on food. Food is life. I’ll do just about anything for a crunchy treat or a slice of chicken. I’ve been known to sit so politely you’d think I went to etiquette school, just to earn a bite. Mealtime? Best part of the day, hands down.So yeah, I may need a little time to settle in. But once I do? I’m loyal, goofy, and all yours!
