My story

Tamsin A17702228 lb. spayed female, approx 2 years old -This cutie girl can start off shy-She will army crawl into your lap and if you pet her she just melts and stays for more!-I laid on the floor and she just curled right up as close as she could for snuggles-She’s affectionate and gives kisses-She wouldn’t take treats in the beginning but the more comfortable she became she then started eating them. Sits on occasion and takes them very nicely-I saw brief moments of playfulness with some tippy taps and excitement for snacks-Not currently engaging in play with toys-She walks nicely on a leash but needs encouragement going into unfamiliar spaces-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
