My story

Meet Rocco!Rocco is a sweet, playful boy who loves being close to his people and soaking up all the affection he can get! During his assessment, he eagerly leaned in for pets and cuddles and happily invited staff to play tug-of-war with his favorite toy. He’s a gentle, loving companion who thrives on connection and engagement.Rocco previously lived with another male dog and did well with him, and he showed polite and friendly behavior when meeting another dog at the shelter. A dog-to-dog meet is always recommended to ensure play styles align. He also lived with children in his previous home and did well, but after moving into a smaller space, he began showing more avoidant behavior. Because of this, Rocco may do best in a home with older children who can respect his space and recognize when he’s feeling overwhelmed.
