My story

Lady is a beautiful and resilient terrier/boxer mix who was found as a stray. Estimated to be about 1–2 years old and weighing around 40 pounds, Lady has a medium energy level — she enjoys her walks outside but also appreciates quiet time to relax.When she first arrived at the shelter, Lady was very scared and unsure of her surroundings. She takes some time to build trust with new people, but once she begins to feel safe, her sweet and gentle personality starts to shine through.Lady is very food-motivated, which makes her easy to work with and a great candidate for continued training. She keeps her kennel clean and walks nicely on a leash — just a few of the signs that she’s ready to thrive in a home environment.Compatibility with other dogs, cats and children is currently unknown. She is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows approved adopters to foster her in their home while she completes her vetting.
