Sonny

My story

This sad boy is Sonny. He was returned back to the rescue after being with his family for just about one year. He was a four month old kitten when he was adopted, so that was the only home he knew(his foster mom loved him very much-not the same as a home of their own) and he grew up with them. I remember when he got adopted, I received a picture of his little girl and him snuggling shortly after his adoption. I was so confident he hit the jackpot, unfortunately for him, I was wrong. I never imagined an entire year would go by and I’d get a call that he was no longer working out and was lashing out at the family and other pets. Per the adopter, no medical issues were found. He is super healthy on the outside but we will get him seen for any internal problems. Now he sits crunched in the corner of his cage and just hangs his head low and looks up with his sad eyes asking me why was he even here and where is his family. He grumbles when we change his cage and just stares back without a blink. His heart is broken and I want so badly to fix it for him but right now he doesn’t want me to. Behind the sadness of this broken boy is a sweet and loving soul who just needs a hero to give him a second chance who has patience and kindness to let him open up in the time he needs. A cage with an occasional visitor is NOT what he needs or deserves. Not interested in a foster because then he would have to learn to adapt again to a new environment. We need a forever home for this sweet boy!!!!!
