My story

Sir Robey is an 8-year-old Maltese-Poodle mix who truly defied the odds! When he first arrived as a stray, he was emaciated and thought to be hospice, but with lots of love, he’s thriving with a heart as big as his comeback story!Weighing just 14.5 pounds, Robey is a compact bundle of charm. He greets his people and visitors with pure joy, sometimes showing off his signature move—standing and dancing on his back legs for food or attention. He's easy to please—he loves belly rubs, gentle body massages, car rides, and even a few toys. While he does well with most dogs and lives with cats, a proper meet-and-greet is recommended. Because he can be a little skittish and may snap if touched in a way he doesn’t like, a home without young children will be required.Robey is house-trained, using potty pads indoors but also happy to go outside. His foster family trusts him to be left out in living room, so he does not have a lot of experience with crating.He has a low-to-medium energy level, enjoys walks, and romps around the yard but is just as content relaxing with his people. This resilient little gentleman is looking for a calm, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years with all the comfort and care he deserves. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
