My story

Doyle is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours! Scroll through his pictures to see his cute videos! His smile can light up a room! That is the first thing you will notice about Doyle- that big, beautiful smile of his. We first met 1 year old Doyle at Chicago Animal Care and Control, while he was attending playgroup. We loved his gentle, kind nature with the dogs and the people, too. When we came back a few days later to bring dogs back to Heartland, we saw him sitting patiently & politely in his kennel, like he was waiting for us. We knew we had to bring him to Heartland! And we are all so happy he did. Doyle is a gentle boy, who loves to be next to people, and has taken an immediately liking to the couch in the Heartland training hall. He has done well with so many dogs in playgroup - a romp around outside and then cuddles on the couch. He seems to have no problem sharing his space and love with all the other pups. He is really docile and tolerant, making him such a great dog tester and a "helper" dog! Doyle walks well on a leash, knows his basic commands, and loves learning new things. What he needs now is a loving adopter that will give him a future of stability and love. Please reach out about Darling Doyle! Doyle’s adoption fee is $300. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
