My story

How this pet arrived: Tater was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on July 2, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Tater, a sweet, shy, and independent girl who's made the shelter her temporary home. She's the kind of dog who will quietly sit by your side, offering silent support on tough days. Her independent spirit means she's just as happy exploring the backyard on her own. Tater can be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, she'll show you the depth of her gentle, loving heart. She's the perfect companion for someone who values quiet companionship and the unique bond of trust that forms over time. Adopting Tater means giving this wonderful dog the chance to flourish in a home where she can truly come out of her shell and shine. Think Tater might be the one for you? This animals foster is committed to finding them a new home, please email Alexia.SDHSfostervolunteer@gmail.com to get more info! At SDHS:Tator been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Tator is now ready for her new home!Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.
