When they came to us through Cat Haven Rescue, they weren’t ready for human affection—not because they were broken, but because they’d never had the chance to feel safe. They stuck close to each other, cautiously exploring the room, learning—bit by bit—that people might not be so scary after all. Over time, they’ve transformed. They now play freely, purr with joy, groom our foster kittens, and stretch out near us with quiet confidence. They even seek out pets—on their terms—with a trust they’ve built one moment at a time. They’re not quite ready to be held, but they’re closer every day. What they need now is someone who will not only complete their rescue, but also become their forever home. Someone patient. Gentle.
