My story

Meet Dodger! Dodger is a 7-year-old, 48-pound mixed breed ready for his second chance. Originally adopted through our rescue, Dodger recently found his way back to us—and we’re so glad he did. He’s currently being evaluated in boarding, and we’re thrilled to report that he’s an absolute star. Dodger gets along beautifully with other dogs in playgroup, adores the staff caring for him, and is friendly, affectionate, and eager to please. He’s even proven to be great with kids and cats—making him a perfect fit for nearly any home. His sweet temperament and easygoing personality have made him a favorite everywhere he goes. Dodger is ready to transition to a foster or adoptive home right away, and we’re hoping someone will step up to offer him the love and comfort he deserves. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week.
