My story

Meet Buttercup, a 1–2-year-old shepherd mix who was found wandering as a stray. She should have been scared or shut down—but instead, Buttercup walked into the shelter like she was just late to a party, gently saying hello to every dog and melting into every hand that reached out. She’s the kind of pup who doesn’t just wag her tail—she curates little moments of calm joy, like leaning her head on your knee just because she likes being close. Her soft nature makes her a magnet for other dogs, and her quiet grace has the staff wrapped around her paw. Buttercup isn’t loud, flashy, or over the top—she’s better.
